Depending on the brand of sour cream and yogurt, Daisy sour cream has 60 calories per 2 tablespoons, whereas Faye Total 0% Plain Greek Yogurt has 100 calories per 6 ounces! That’s 1 ounce of sour cream to 6 ounces of Greek yogurt! The math speaks for itself, this is a no brainer swap out! You aren’t compromising flavor either since plain Greek yogurt tastes exactly like sour cream. I substitute sour cream on baked potatoes, beef stroganoff, tacos, and anytime sour cream is a condiment, I’m making the swap. Why not cut those calories when you can? I even use this for my loaded mashed potatoes. I made the swap without telling Scott’s dad and after dinner I confessed I made the swap and he’s been hooked ever since.
